Synopsis

Set on the remote and mystical Diomede Islands between Alaska and Russia, YUKA follows a spirited 9-year-old Inuit boy yearning to follow in the footsteps of his late grandfather and hunter father. As the traditional ways of life in his village clash with the looming pressures of modernization, Yuka stumbles into a legendary adventure that blurs myth and reality. After a sacred artifact protecting the village is accidentally destroyed-and blamed on Yuka-he sets out with his loyal dog and best friend to the mythical Wisdom Cave to glimpse the future. But what he sees foretells a grave danger to his father, thrusting Yuka into a race against time to alter fate, reclaim his village’s heritage, and prove that even the smallest voice can protect a legacy as vast as the Arctic itself.
